That would be nice, and hopefully we do see it. The issue is that recent Ubisoft games, specifically Origins and Odyssey, are very hard to run at 60fps. Even on PCs with better CPUs than XsX and PS5.
No 60fps. We go through this every generation and people still don't get it. 60fps is not really a thing on consoles. As long as prettier games sell more (and they do) publishers will continue pushing graphical fidelity over smooth gameplay.
Lack of games. Dev studios all over the world are struggling, some more than others. If the "launch lineup" is not ready by release then both MS and Sony might delay since the vast majority of launch titles are going to be 3rd party.
You could literally overlay this graph with big exclusives. Switch just spiked because of Animal Crossing. You'll see the inverse when TLOU 2 releases. Either way it's nice to see both systems doing well.
It's simple.
IF mw3 remaster development costs less than projected revenue THEN Activision will remaster it.
I think Sophisticated_Chap was saying that one month of exclusivity cannot possibly be worth that much. Yes, Sony earns $6 for every copy sold, but it's not something that will earn them more market share. Meaning how many people out there said "I really can't wait 1 month to play on my Xbox/PC so I'm buying the game on PS4/Buying a PS4."?
It matches based on input.
aww who hurt you?
Just like Death Stranding bringing Decima to PC enabled the HZD port to easily happen. Days Gone unlike virtually all SIE games runs on UE4 so the port was likely simple, relatively speaking. I am curious about how many more games make their way over. Because to me that would actually signal way more about Sony's plans than either of these 2 games.
@G1L
Where does that article refute anything I said?
Tiny?
Old: 3840*2160 = 8,294,400 pixels
New: 2880*1620 = 4,665,600 pixels
So that's a ~44% reduction in resolution. Don't get me wrong, I would personally rather play at 60fps instead of 35-50. Hell I'd bump it down to 1440p or 1080p to get 120+ fps, but to say that it's a tiny resolution boost/reduction is factually incorrect.
Yes and 18/20 is the same as 98/100.
Are you actually this dumb or just trying to confuse other morons?
It sounds like I'll keep playing multi-plats on PC and SIE exclusives on PS5.
Don't bother. This is going way over the head of your average N4G user.
What a dumb comparison. Shadow of Mordor was an 8th generation game from start to finish. Then it was given to a separate development studio to bring to the 7th gen. In order to do that, they had to cut a lot. When in reality the game never should have been on those systems at all, but it was 2014 and WB wanted as much $$ as they could milk from the established user bases.
@zacfoldor
Not necessarily. After many years the RE4 HD project is almost done.
Lol okay.
Like Capcom would just accept $60 instead of $120.
Yeah don't give us gamers a bad name by being a random, awkward fucktard.
@ CaptainCook
Cool, I knew all that. Although I must correct you on semantics. There is no "Windows Store" on Xbox.
But all that is beside the point. Why don't you actually try to answer my questions?
Considering a PC with a better CPU than XsX has trouble maintaining 60fps, you aren't going to see that unless Ubisoft completely reworks how their shitty engine works.
